A Taste of Medicine (ATOM) is to promote and recruit to the Regional Medical Pathway (RMP) offered in Central Queensland. The RMP is a partnership between CQUniversity, The University of Queensland, and the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Services, designed to ‘train and retain’ more doctors who will study and work in regional Queensland. The RMP is available to school leavers, where the Bachelor of Medical Science (Pathway to Medicine) provides successful applicants a direct entry pathway into The University of Queensland’s regionally based Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.

ATOM is a highly competitive program and numbers will again be limited for our 2022 intake. Chosen students will get the oppourtunity to speak to current medical students and staff members to find out more about the UQ Doctor of Medicine Program and the Regional Medical Pathway, while participating in a number of different clinical skills scenarios supervised by qualified clinical staff.
