Presenter:      Dr David Holcombe, FRANZCO MBBS PhD BSc Senior Lecturer UQ

Dr Holcombe graduated from the UQ medical school with a combined Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery, and a Doctor of Philosophy (MBBS PhD). The topic of his PhD was retinal neuro protection. Dr Holcombe performed his residency years at the Royal Brisbane Hospital before selection onto the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology (RANZCO) training program in Melbourne, where he spent considerable time training at the prestigious Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.   He subspecialised in cataract surgery and retinal disease, and glaucoma. Dr Holcombe returned to Toowoomba in 2015 to establish Toowoomba Ophthalmic Consultants and is a visiting medical officer at the Toowoomba Base Hospital.

There is no cost to register for this workshop.  For clinicians outside of Toowoomba requiring accommodation to attend, please nominate your preferences on the online Registration Form. For those requiring travel and/or accommodation, a member of the Regional Training Hub Southern Queensland will contact you directly to make provisions in accordance with the University of Queensland Corporate Travel Policy. Catering will be provided.
