To become an Anaesthetist, you will need to apply for fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA). Fellowship is a 5-year (full time) training pathway consisting of 4 training periods:

  • 6 months Introductory Training
  • 18 months Basic Training
  • 24 months Advanced Training
  • 12 months Provisional Fellowship Training (PFT)
