UQRCS Research Group collaborates with local public and private hospital and health services, universities and primary health networks to promote local research an clinical researchers. These events include:

The Research Ready Grant Program

The Research Ready Grant Program (RRGP) is a collaborative project involving Central Queensland Hospital Health Service (CQHHS), Central Queensland University (CQU) and The University of Queensland (UQ). The RRGP aims to build research and intellectual capacity by combining a mentor program with the education process. The RRGP consists of two phases - Phase One: Research Skills Workshop and Phase Two: Implementation of the Research Project.

Phase One: Research Skills Workshops is an 8-week series, commencing annually in February. All UQ students are welcome to attend these sessions, but please register your interest beforehand. Each session is held between 5.00pm to 8.00pm at the Learning and Development Centre CQHHS

At the conclusion of Phase One, each team will have developed the skill set required to develop a grant application and research proposal. Interested medical students will be allocated to suitable project teams. Funded teams will commence their research projects in June (approximately).
